We are a very active Glasgow-based Mountaineering Club with members throughout Scotland and further afield. Our members take part in a variety of mountain related activities – primarily mountaineering, climbing, hillwalking and mountain biking.
The club holds regular weekend, day and evening meets with something for everyone. Weekend meets give you the opportunity to travel to club huts for mountain adventures. The focus of evening meets is climbing in and around Glasgow both indoors and out, depending on our fickle climate!
Glasgow JMCS is the Glasgow section of the Junior Mountaineering Club of Scotland. Junior by name, not by nature – we have members of all ages! We are proud to have a growing and diverse membership.
Come along to a weekend or evening meet to join the fun.

Our wonderful club hut is situated at the head of Loch Scavaig on the Island of Skye, by Loch Coruisk and at the foot of the Cuillins! Remote and only accessible by boat or a 10Km walk, Coruisk Memorial Hut is self contained and sleeps 9.
