Glasgow JMCS Coruisk Hut Custodians have maintained the hut over the years, visiting on a regular basis to keep it running as smoothly as possible.
Once a year, traditionally at the end of May, a larger group of members make the journey to Skye for our annual “work meet”. This has become a pilgrimage and a mixture of work, fun and mountain excursion. The Hut Custodian traditionally provides hospitality, food and beverages!

Despite the undoubted talents of some of our members, we do need to enlist experts from time to time.
We are indebted to the owners of the Misty Isle who have ferried us and our supplies over the years, as well as local tradesmen from Skye who have helped with essential maintenance of the hut.
Maintenance tasks vary and some are annual rituals. This includes painting the hut, which will have witnessed a few winter storms and checking or repairing our water supply. This comes direct from the famous “Mad Burn” and is in some parts of its journey from there fairly inaccessible.

Weather, Cake and Scones! Another successful work meet.
