CORUISK MEMORIAL HUT BOOKING
Conditions of Acceptance:
- The Hut is only open to members of Mountaineering Scotland, the British Mountaineering Council, and their affiliated clubs.
- The Hut and its equipment are intended for use by responsible adults. Where it is intended to bring children (anyone under the age of 18 years) as a member of your party it is the responsibility of your party to ensure their welfare and that any requirements regarding Child Protection are met. All users should be aware of the Mountaineering Scotland Participation Statement.
- Keys will normally be sent to the person making the booking by recorded delivery 2-3 weeks before the date booked. Note it may take up 5 working days to receive the keys in the post.
- The keys must be returned within 7 days of the last date booked. Please take care of the key as its loss will require the lock and all keys to be changed (A very expensive process for which you will be charged). If they are returned other than recorded delivery it shall be assumed that the user is willing to assume all risks associated with the possible cost of replacement keys and locks should they fail to be delivered.
- The maximum size of a party within the hut is nine, (for safety and comfort reasons this number must not be exceeded). Any in excess of this number who are camping but using hut facilities are subject to a charge of £10.00 per person per day.
- Exclusive use of the hut is not guaranteed unless all 9 places have been booked.
- Cancellation Policy.
Up to 3 months’ notice – Full refund
3 months to 1 months’ notice – 50% refund
Less than 1 months’ notice – No refund
- You agree to abide by the full terms and conditions
Visitors should be aware of the effects of the weather on their plans:
Adverse weather can make the sea crossing from Elgol impossible, the boat services are independently operated and it is the responsibility of parties booking the hut to ensure their members have the necessary experience to walk in/out of the hut should this be necessary.
Heavy rain can make the river crossings at Camusunary and the Scavaig River difficult and booking cancellations due to weather conditions are not generally accepted.
